Join the Unit

If you are interested in joining the Sheriff’s Communications Unit or would like additional information, please contact us  so we can put you in touch with a unit staff member. Applications for unit membership are accepted in the months of January and July. Each prospective member will be invited to a unit meeting and have the opportunity to participate in a roundtable  discussion with our staff.  

All members will need to complete the following items prior to participating in any trainings, events or callouts.

-    Sheriff’s Office Volunteer Application Form

-    Sheriff’s Office Release & Waiver Form

-    Initial Background Screening

-    DSW Registration

-    Provide a copy of your FCC Amateur Radio License
